Inventory Specialist Duties
Reports To: Asset Manager/Warehouse Manager
Role: Responsible for the disposition of customer product. The Inventory Specialist’s responsibilities will span a broad spectrum, including warehouse receiving, pulling and operations support functions.
Primary Responsibilities: Non-inclusive as follows:
- The receiving of all inventory deliveries, confirming counts, descriptions and documenting any damage, crushed cartons, or shortages.
- Close inspection of all new or used product received for concealed manufacturer defects or shipping damage.
- Creating accurate inventory records for customer storage, including quantities, descriptions, condition, and storage location. Provide accurate information to Asset Management Clerk.
- Tagging of all inventories and providing for its safe and efficient storage.
- Conduct accurate and timely pulls of product, supplies and equipment, and the safe and efficient loading and unloading of MANNING GROUP vehicles.
- Works with Asset Warehouse Staff to do regular cycle counts to validate inventory quantities.
- Cross trains for assistance in other Manning Group divisions including Furniture Receiving, Hospitality and General Warehouse Duties.
- Maintain and clean the warehouse.
- Ensure a safe environment within the warehouse and adjoining office space.
- Seeks opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse operation.
- Support the general efforts of the company in all areas and cooperate with all staff.
· Other responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse and inventory experience.
- Demonstrated abilities in customer service, vendor interaction, inventory and record maintenance and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office software, with working knowledge of asset management software helpful.
- Knowledge of office systems furniture helpful.
- Spanish Speaking a plus
