$18.00 - $20.00/hour
1st Shift Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and motivated Cat Tapping Department Associate to join our team in Peru, IL. This position involves learning and developing the skills necessary to operate tapping equipment and support daily production activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing quality work in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Learn and operate tapping machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform daily machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate production records and paperwork
- Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and production-ready
- Assist with additional tasks and assignments as directed by the Team Leader or Supervisor
- Support department goals by maintaining productivity and quality expectations
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
