Licensed Journeyman Electrician | Sales or Installation Track
Job Description
Job Description
**Licensed Texas journeyman who loves electrical work but does not want to sell jobs? We want to talk!! **TLC has served DFW since 2003, and new ownership is investing heavily in trucks, systems, and people. We’re opening new locations and prefer to promote from within.
TLC Electrical is building separate service-sales and installation paths. For larger projects over $4,000, a sales technician will meet with the customer, scope the work, and sell the job before handing it to the installation team. If you would rather focus on safe, clean electrical work than estimates, sales quotas, and upselling, the installation path may be a great fit.
This is a DFW field position. Your fully stocked service van goes home with you, the gas card is in the van, and your day starts at the first job rather than at our Southlake shop!
Choose the path that fits you!
Installation-focused journeymen:
- Complete electrical work that has already been scoped and sold
- Handle panel and service upgrades, EV chargers, lighting, device replacement, code corrections, and other residential or light commercial projects
- Focus on craftsmanship, safety, and completing the installation correctly
- No sales quota and no expectation that you estimate or sell larger projects
- Treat homeowners and their homes professionally, without needing to be a salesperson
Sales-focused journeymen:
- Diagnose electrical problems and complete residential and light commercial repairs
- Explain findings and options clearly to homeowners
- Run smaller service calls from diagnosis through completion
Both paths receive a take-home van, gas card, company iPad, paid training, paid license renewal, benefits at 60 days, and opportunities to move into leadership as TLC grows.
Compensation, tools, and perks:
Straight hourly pay of $32-$42, not commission, plus a bonus once the entire team meets monthly KPIs including: Conversion rate, customer reviews, average ticket and monthly revenue goals.
- Health, dental, and vision benefits starting at 60 days.
- Paid training and paid license renewal, including ServiceTitan University and structured field development.
- Take-home van with a gas card.
- Rotating monthly on-call schedule with additional pay.
- Company iPad and uniforms.
- Paperless workflow powered by ServiceTitan—ticket and customer info in hand before you knock.
- Support that keeps you billable: apprentices and an operations manager help move materials to reduce windshield time.
