Holy Family High School is seeking an innovative, experienced, and qualified individual for a High School Officer of Safety and Security position. Qualified candidates have a background in school safety and security protocols, the ability to write threat assessments related to the school facility and overall safety of the school facility, as well as uphold modern school safety protocols.

Shift Schedule of Monday through Friday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the safety of all students and staff at Holy Family High School
• Supply a police presence at all events where warranted
• Contribute to security and event safety plans
• Provide armed response in the event of a mass casualty
• Coordinate emergency response/evacuation/reunification following a crisis
• Security after the normal hours of school operation
• Security provided at special events and functions
• Being eligible for and Maintaining the necessary license to carry or conceal a firearm.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience of security, law enforcement, or military experience
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
• Must have a current Colorado Concealed Carry Permit
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Good overall physical fitness, eye-hand coordination, hearing, and eyesight
• Criminal background check
• Experience conducting emergency exercises, drills, and staff trainings (SRP)
• Intermediate knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively
