Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Prior experience working in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Comfort with a diverse caseload that may include students with a range of needs
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students to determine strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop and execute targeted intervention plans to address fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills
- Work closely with teachers, aides, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment
- Monitor student progress, document treatment, and update goals as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide clear recommendations
- Offer guidance and training for staff and family members supporting students’ therapy needs
