As a Security Officer - Armed City Driver in Hoffman, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will take an active role in armed patrol operations, helping to support a controlled environment through visible rounds, access awareness, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. You will communicate professionally with staff and visitors, respond to incidents with calm judgment, and document activity clearly. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Perform armed patrol duties by conducting regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, adjusting patrol patterns based on activity and post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, alarms, medical events, and suspicious activity, and request additional resources when needed.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring entry and exit points, and maintaining awareness of contraband control requirements per site procedures.
- Complete thorough documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card/license is preferred.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
