An exciting opportunity is available for a Land Development Project Manager to join a growing, highly collaborative team delivering impactful site development and urban redevelopment projects throughout the Baltimore–Washington region.
This is a key leadership role where you’ll take ownership of projects, mentor talented teams, and build strong client relationships—while driving projects that directly influence how communities grow and thrive.
The Opportunity
As a Project Manager, you’ll lead civil/site development projects from concept through construction, working across both public and private sector clients. You’ll have the autonomy to guide projects, the support of a strong multidisciplinary team, and the opportunity to make a visible impact in a dynamic and fast-growing market.
What You’ll Do
- Own project delivery – Lead land development projects from planning, design, and permitting through construction and closeout
- Drive results – Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality across multiple projects
- Build client relationships – Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor
- Lead and mentor teams – Guide engineers at all levels and coordinate subconsultants
- Ensure technical excellence – Oversee design documents, reports, and specifications
- Navigate approvals – Manage permitting, agency coordination, and stakeholder engagement
- Support growth – Contribute to proposals, fee development, and business development efforts
- Stay hands-on – Provide technical direction in grading, stormwater, utilities, and site design
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- PE License (MD, DC, or VA—or ability to obtain)
- 10+ years of progressive land development experience
- Proven success managing projects, clients, and teams
- Strong knowledge of local permitting processes in MD/DC/VA
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
