Associate Attorney - Workers Compensation
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our Workers Compensation team. The ideal candidate will assist with representing clients in workers compensation claims, ensuring they receive the benefits they are entitled to while navigating the complexities of insurance law.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation
- Manage a caseload of workers compensation claims from inception to resolution
- Represent clients in administrative hearings and negotiations with insurance companies
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, keeping them informed about case progress
- Advocate for clients' rights and entitlements in a professional manner
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to develop effective litigation strategies
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Oregon State bar admission
- Experience in workers compensation law and insurance claims
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy abilities
- Demonstrated case management experience
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
