Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Boca Raton, Florida. In this pivotal role, you will act as the firm’s case management lead, overseeing a dynamic docket of active litigation matters across multiple counties. This is a senior-level position that requires a proactive individual with strong attention to detail, extensive knowledge of Florida state court procedures, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple active litigation cases across various Florida counties, ensuring deadlines are tracked and met in accordance with the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Coordinate and schedule hearings, monitoring compliance with local administrative orders and divisional requirements.
• Draft and file litigation documents such as motions, notices, affidavits, proposed orders, and written discovery requests.
• Prepare and oversee service of process, summons, default judgment packages, and other court filings using the Florida Courts E-Portal.
• Create and organize trial preparation materials, including hearing notebooks, evidentiary binders, and trial binders.
• Maintain comprehensive case status reports and monitor court dockets for updates.
• Lead proactive case management efforts with minimal supervision, ensuring all procedural requirements are met.
• Collaborate with attorneys to ensure seamless litigation support and document handling.
• Conduct research and maintain compliance with Florida court rules and procedures.
• Provide advanced litigation support as the most senior paralegal in the firm.• At least 5 years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal in Florida state courts.
• Proven ability to independently manage a litigation docket and meet strict deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and familiarity with multi-county practices.
• Proficiency in using the Florida Courts E-Portal for filing and managing cases.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and deadline management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in trial preparation, including creating trial exhibits and visual aids.
• Familiarity with case management software and other litigation support tools.
