Test Engineer | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $78,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for manufactured products.
- Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing on hardware and software components.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them accurately to development and production teams.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to understand product specifications and testing requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues found during testing, providing detailed diagnostic information.
- Document test procedures, results, and defect resolutions.
- Participate in product reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, C++).
- Proficiency in using various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Ability to design, develop, and implement test plans, procedures, and test cases for hardware and/or software components.
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging hardware and software issues in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) software
- Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques for manufacturing defects
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and IIoT platforms
- Proficiency in scripting languages for test automation (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)
