Job Description
Our client, an electronics manufacturer on Long Island, is seeking a Senior Buyer. This role is 100% on site. Salary is $95k-125k.

Responsibilities:
\n
You will identify sources of supply that will ensure reasonable pricing, dependable shipment and reliable quality.
\n
You will check and examine purchase requisitions assigned for proper descriptions of items, part numbers, specifications, etc., and place orders.
\n
You will expedite, follow up, and administer open purchase orders.
\n
You will be a partner with all internal departments, as well as vendors, to ensure maximum efficiency.
\n
You will know how to develop new sources of supply for new and routine materials.
\n
You will know how to coordinate and combine orders of different origins to take advantage of quantity prices.
\n
Key Qualifications:
\n
5+ years’ experience in electronic and electromechanical parts procurement(RF Commercial Military industry is highly desirable).
\n
10+ years prior relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.
\n
For a master’s degree, at least 7 years’ prior experience is required.
\n
5+ years’ experience in purchasing electronic and electromechanical parts, preferably in the RF Commercial Military industry
\n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience writing technical specifications and other technical documents.
\n
Costpoint, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
