We are now hiring a dump truck driver to join us in Lancaster, SC
Hours: 630a (typically 40-50 hours, some Saturdays may be required)
Pay: $20-$24 (DOE)
Responsibilities
- Operate a dump truck to transport construction materials & equipment safely usually within a 50 mile area for a heavy highway construction company
- Use GPS navigation and follow dispatch instructions, traffic laws, and site procedures.
- Load and unload materials; perform manual handling and truck loading and unloading while following safe practices.
- Inspect the vehicle and report maintenance or cargo concerns; handle freight and logistics cargo as assigned.
- Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements.
Experience
- Required: Commercial truck driving or truck driving experience, a valid license and endorsements required for assigned work, safe driving practices, and familiarity with manual transmission.
- Class A or B CDL
- Preferred: Delivery driver experience and experience with tractor-trailers, flatbed or tanker equipment, refrigerated trailers, or automobile transportation.
- Ability to perform manual handling and load and unload materials safely.
