Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Correctional Healthcare

Location: Lexington, OK

\n

Pay: $44-$46

\n

Schedule: Day Shift-12 hours

\n

Duration: 6–12 Months (Maximum assignment duration: 12 months)

\n


\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Perform direct and indirect nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting.
  • \n

  • Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • \n

  • Perform nursing procedures and specialized functions within the scope of LPN licensure.
  • \n

  • Assist with assessing, reporting, and documenting patients’ health status.
  • \n

  • Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate patient care plans.
  • \n

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
  • \n

  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
  • \n

  • Report patient information and changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare team member.
  • \n

  • Provide guidance and training to others on routine nursing tasks and activities, as applicable.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • \n

  • Follow all facility, safety, security, and correctional healthcare policies and procedures.
  • \n

Requirements

\n

Level I

\n

    \n
  • Valid permanent Oklahoma LPN License, or
  • \n

  • LPN license recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • \n

  • Entry-level candidates with an active, valid license are encouraged to apply.
  • \n

\n

Level II

\n

    \n
  • Valid permanent Oklahoma LPN License, or LPN license recognized by the eNLC.
  • \n

  • At least 1 year of practical nursing experience.
  • \n
