Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior QA Tester to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for software testing. The responsibilities of this position will include performing various testing activities, documenting test results, and identifying and reporting software defects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Software Development, Configuration and DBA teams to provide software testing & analysis.
  • Ensure that the software product meets the functional and design specifications
  • Log and track testing errors in defect tracking tool.
  • Performs software testing on mobile and web applications
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to helping to maintain test cases, testing documents, log defects, verify fixes, and maintain stability and functionality of the system.
  • Collaborate with senior testers and team leads to understand test requirements and contribute to the development of test strategies.
  • Effectively communicate testing progress, results, and concerns with team members and project stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in our QA testing process, and work with the QA team to implement them.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities as assigned.
  • Provide support to the Technical Support team as needed.

Education, Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year in quality control work preferred or at manager’s discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test documents for web, mobile, and windows applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think analytically.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the life sciences industry a plus.
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Windows.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server, database knowledge, client server applications and back-end testing a plus.
  • Strong risk analysis skills.
  • Ability to be proactive in communicating with other teams within the organization to gather and understand technical requirements.
