Certified Collision of Long Island is looking for an experienced Automotive Body Shop Manager to oversee daily shop operations, manage technicians and estimators, and ensure high-quality, on-time repairs. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on collision management experience and a proven focus on productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily shop workflow, scheduling, and production
- Supervise and motivate technicians, estimators, and support staff
- Review estimates, manage estimator workload, and coordinate with insurance companies
- Ensure repairs meet OEM standards and quality expectations
- Work with insurance companies on supplements and claims
- Monitor cycle times, labor efficiency, and KPIs
- Serve as a point of contact for customers and resolve concerns
Qualifications
- Experience in an automotive body shop or collision repair environment
- Prior management or supervisory experience required
- Experience with Direct Repair Programs (DRPs) such as GEICO, State Farm, and Allstate
- Strong knowledge of collision repair processes and insurance claims
- Leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced shop environment
