Security Officer
Pay Rate: $25–$30 per hour, based on experience
Experience: 4+ years of security experience preferred
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Officer to protect personnel, property, and assets while maintaining a safe and secure environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of security experience, strong observation skills, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security concerns.
- Control access to buildings, facilities, and restricted areas.
- Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other security systems.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Enforce company security policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Assist employees, visitors, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency personnel, and management when necessary.
- Maintain a visible security presence and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of security officer experience preferred.
- Valid security license/certification as required by state or local regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Strong observation, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
Compensation
$25–$30 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, certifications, and assignment requirements.
Schedule: Part-time, including weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
