In this rewarding full-time contract role, you’ll support elementary students across three schools, helping them discover their voices and engage fully in their learning environment. As a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial part in early intervention and foster communication success for young learners.
Ideal candidates hold current Kentucky licensure and bring previous experience working within school settings. Your expertise will allow you to conduct early elementary screenings, collaborate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and work closely with teachers and families to implement best practices for student success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Kentucky SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience with school-based SLP services, particularly for early elementary students
- Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and aptitude for managing caseloads in multiple locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations for students in early elementary grades
- Develop and maintain IEPs in collaboration with the educational team
- Deliver direct therapy services based on student needs
- Provide consultative support to teachers, families, and staff
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
