We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting legal operations by overseeing medical record requests and assisting with various litigation tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with a solid understanding of legal processes.


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the process of requesting medical records to support litigation needs.

• Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of medical records to ensure accuracy and relevance.

• Handle e-filing procedures and ensure timely submission of legal documents.

• Manage calendars to track deadlines, court dates, and other critical events.

• Prepare and organize court filings in compliance with legal requirements.

• Assist with plaintiff-side litigation tasks, including asbestos-related cases.

• Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to gather necessary information for case preparation.

• Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all legal proceedings.

• Communicate effectively with medical providers and other parties to facilitate record requests.

• Support civil litigation processes through administrative and legal tasks.

• Proven experience in e-filing and handling court filings.
• Familiarity with civil litigation, particularly plaintiff-side cases.
• Strong skills in calendar management and tracking deadlines.

• Knowledge of asbestos litigation and related procedures is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in managing medical record requests and documentation.
• Experience working in a fast-paced legal environment.
