Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, high-performing Irrigation Technician to manage the installation, inspection, and high-level service of irrigation systems across premier commercial properties, HOAs, and industrial corridors in Greater Nashville. This position focuses heavily on optimizing water efficiency, managing complex electrical frameworks, and resolving field issues to support Middle Tennessee’s booming regional growth.
Responsibilities
- Diagnostic Troubleshooting: Isolate and fix intricate single and two-wire system faults. Locate buried components, resolve valve tracking issues, and repair commercial pumps and controllers.
- Repairs & Upgrades: Fix lateral lines and commercial-grade mainlines up to 6 inches. Upgrade legacy controllers to smart, water-saving systems that strictly align with local Davidson County drought protocols and rain-sensor ordinances.
- Seasonal Management: Perform routine system audits, rapid seasonal wet-checks/start-ups, and thorough winterizations to safeguard equipment from freezing Middle Tennessee winters.
- Site Management: Read site maps, record exact zone locations, track part inventory on service vehicles, and input digital change orders or work logs accurately.
- Winter & Enhancement Pivot: Support regional commercial enhancement teams or snow/ice management operations during the deep winter months to ensure steady, year-round employment.
What You Bring
- Experience: 2+ years of dedicated landscape irrigation experience, with a solid footprint in commercial site management.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with multi-meters, wire tracers, solvent welding PVC, and handling high-pressure commercial water tie-ins.
- Licensure & Compliance: Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record (MVR) is mandatory to meet company vehicle insurance standards. Holding a Tennessee Backflow Certification or a state-recognized cross-connection prevention license is highly preferred.
- Physical Drive: Able to perform heavy outdoor labor (digging, trenching, lifting 50+ lbs) in standard Tennessee climate variations.
- Team Skills: Strong communication skills to report field statuses to Account Managers and property owners. Ability to collaborate effectively with Spanish-speaking crew members.
Why Join Us
- Take-Home Service Truck: Skip the morning shop commute! Qualified technicians receive a company-provided, fully stocked service vehicle with a gas card to drive home daily.
- Competitive Pay: Starting hourly wages optimized for the Nashville market with overtime potential.
- Year-Round Stability: Avoid the seasonal winter layoff with guaranteed hours via enhancements and landscape-adjacent services.
- Top Benefits: Comprehensive group medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
- Professional Perks: Paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, paid sick time and provided company uniforms.
