HR Generalist I

Job Description:

This full-time HR Generalist opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys solving complex employee issues, delivering exceptional service, and supporting a wide range of HR functions in a fast-paced environment. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, handling HR inquiries, processing transactions, and partnering with multiple HR centers of excellence to ensure a positive employee experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage a high volume of cases while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries through phone, chat, and case management channels.

Review, process, approve, and resolve HRIS transactions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Provide guidance on HR programs including benefits, compensation, wellness programs, payroll, and leave of absence matters.

Investigate and resolve employee concerns while delivering a positive and professional customer service experience.

Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and other HR teams to resolve complex issues.

Escalate advanced or sensitive employee matters to appropriate leadership and subject matter experts when needed.

Maintain detailed and accurate case documentation within HR systems.

Identify trends, recurring issues, and process improvement opportunities and communicate findings to management.

Prioritize and manage a high volume of employee cases while meeting service level expectations.

Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and sound judgment when making HR-related decisions.

Support a collaborative HR team focused on delivering exceptional employee support and service.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in HR Generalist, HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or Employee Support roles.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent HR experience.

Experience with Oracle HCM preferred.

Experience using ServiceNow or other case management platforms preferred.

Experience with UKG/UltiPro preferred.

HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR are a plus.

Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment This is a full-time hybrid opportunity supporting a high-volume HR service environment. The role involves daily interaction with employees, managers, and HR subject matter experts across multiple functions. The schedule is Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with occasional overtime based on business needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing competing priorities, navigating HR systems, and delivering a best-in-class employee experience in a fast-paced setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience supporting employees in a high-volume HR Shared Services, HR Operations, or HR Generalist environment. Knowledge of employee lifecycle processes including benefits, leave administration, compensation, payroll, performance management, and employee relations. Experience utilizing HRIS and case management systems such as Oracle HCM, UKG/UltiPro, ServiceNow, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar platforms. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, resolve complex employee inquiries, and maintain confidentiality. Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders, analyze issues, exercise sound judgment, and deliver accurate, timely resolutions. HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR are preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent HR experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
