Job Description

Garrett Singer Architecture + Design (@garrettsingerdesign) is currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to join our growing team. We are a NYC based hospitality driven studio known for thoughtful, design forward environments that blend creativity with technical excellence. This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in shaping impactful projects from concept through completion.


About the Role

The Senior Architect will lead project teams, oversee design development, and ensure the successful delivery of high quality architectural work. This role requires a strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and the ability to manage both clients and internal teams in a fast-paced studio environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural projects from concept through construction administration
  • Develop and present design concepts, drawings, and presentations to clients
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal team members
  • Oversee production of construction documents and ensure code compliance
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative studio culture
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent the firm professionally


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (required)
  • Professional licensure (preferred but not required)
  • 8–12+ years of professional experience, ideally in NYC-based firms
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence, particularly in hospitality or experiential environments
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp- 3D tools a plus)
  • Deep understanding of NYC building codes, zoning, and permitting processes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively

This position is in person in our NYC office Mon-Thursdays, Fridays are remote. All candidates must be able to easily commute and accommodate this schedule.
