Job Title: Core Infrastructure Operations Support

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (Hybrid – Mostly Remote; Local to Pittsburgh Required)
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Summary:

We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Core Infrastructure Operations Support professional for a contract-to-hire position based in Pittsburgh. This hybrid role is primarily remote but requires local residency for occasional onsite work. The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of experience in a Microsoft networked environment, with exposure to a broad range of infrastructure technologies including networking, virtualization, cloud, backup, and datacenter operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Tier 2 support for infrastructure issues (network, systems, and cloud) to maintain 99% uptime.
Monitor and manage the support ticket queue, escalating as necessary to meet SLAs.
Assist with Tier 4 issue resolution and critical infrastructure maintenance.
Perform routine maintenance tasks (daily/weekly/monthly).
Document access, processes, and technical solutions; create support knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with end users, vendors, and business units; participate in on-call rotation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1–3+ years of IT support experience in Microsoft environments.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field OR equivalent hands-on experience.
CompTIA Network+ or MTA certification preferred.
Exposure to a wide range of infrastructure tools/tech including:
- Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, SIP/VoIP, VMware, Citrix, SDWAN, Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
- Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, VPN, Firewalls, EDR/SIEM tools.
Familiarity with ITIL-based service desk tools and ticketing systems.
Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
