Probate Paralegal – Myrtle Beach Market (Charleston, SC)
Pay Range: $27.00 – $31.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to join our Charleston, SC office, with recruitment focused on candidates commuting from the Myrtle Beach and coastal region. This role provides essential support for probate and estate administration matters, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely progression of cases.
This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented paralegal who is comfortable managing deadlines, court filings, and coordination with multiple parties in a professional legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys with probate and estate administration matters from opening through closing
- Draft, prepare, and file probate court documents, petitions, pleadings, and correspondence
- Maintain and organize estate files, legal documentation, and case records
- Communicate with probate courts, financial institutions, government agencies, and outside parties
- Monitor deadlines, manage schedules, and assist with workflow coordination
- Provide ongoing administrative and case support to ensure efficient handling of estate matters
Qualifications
- Paralegal experience in probate, estate administration, or estate planning
- Knowledge of probate court processes and estate administration procedures
- Experience with document management systems, filing protocols, and legal proofreading
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proven attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Clear, professional communication skills
