We are looking for a highly skilled Data and PMO Project Manager to join our team in Torrance, California. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to lead innovative projects in the automotive industry, focusing on data analytics, governance, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project management and data analysis to drive the advancement of digital services and ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee project delivery to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, milestones, and resource assignments.
• Lead the creation and presentation of business cases and project deliverables to executives and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and address issues related to functionality, quality, and timelines.
• Establish and implement project management standards, policies, and best practices within the team.
• Collaborate with other project managers to align methodologies and streamline processes.
• Manage budgets, cost plans, and variance tracking to ensure financial efficiency.
• Drive innovation and creativity in data analytics, pipeline development, and report visualization.
• Facilitate effective communication and negotiation with stakeholders to align project goals.
• Guide the team in documenting departmental policies and governance frameworks.
• Proven experience in project management, including the ability to manage complex projects.
• Strong expertise in data analysis and report visualization.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for engaging with executives and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of budget management, cost planning, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in developing project plans, milestones, and timelines.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Project Management certification or completion of a recognized curriculum is preferred.
• Ability to travel 1-2 times per year for up to one week as required.
