DESCRIPTION
Field Technician is responsible for performing pressure control associated equipment repair jobs as well as the service and installation of rental jobs on customer sites/locations. Monitors progress report and communicates progress with their supervisor. Field Technician repairs/rebuilds pressure control equipment to API specifications, completes all required documentation, and works at customer locations servicing associated pressure control equipment.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of shop and/or service training on pressure control equipment.
- Progressively gain knowledge of pressure control equipment requirements in operation, maintenance, and required service.
- Knowledge and understanding of completions operations at customer locations.
- Effective verbal, written, reading, and communication skills are required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
- Field service or shop experience in related completions operations preferred but not required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply)
- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
- Performs shop repairs of pressure control equipment.
- Performs field service including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation as assigned by their supervisor.
- Assists development of less experienced employees as assigned by supervisor.
- Completes all documentation for repair/rebuild and testing as well as field service forms such as field tickets, JSA’s, training forms, pre/post job inspections, etc.
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
- Follow specific written instructions and API procedures for all jobs presented.
- Other duties as assigned.
