Litigation Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and a passion for representing clients in complex legal matters. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution, providing legal advice, and advocating for clients in various legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents
- Represent clients in court and during mediation and arbitration
- Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each case
- Prepare for trials, including discovery, witness preparation, and exhibit organization
- Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of case developments
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and advise them on legal options
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements throughout the litigation process
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to litigation and relevant practice areas
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in California.
- 3+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on trial preparation and client representation
- Strong skills in legal writing and case management
- Proficient in contract law and various litigation strategies
- Experience with product liability, premises liability, automotive warranty, tort law, and toxic torts
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficient in legal research tools and court procedures
