Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products. You will be responsible for utilizing various testing methods and equipment to maintain product standards. Your contributions will help uphold our long-standing reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Use the production schedule to prioritize sample orders.
  • Retrieve samples and add calculated corrections to batches.
  • Apply distillation, solid, and straight proofing methods in accordance with TTB regulations.
  • Test product pH, clarity, and color.
  • Calculate batch proof of each product using the DMA.
  • Utilize Excel spreadsheets and calculators in testing and identifying batch corrections.
  • Record results of testing in spreadsheets and ERP systems.
  • Calibrate and clean lab equipment.
  • Monitor lab supplies and inform the supervisor when items need to be ordered.
  • Proof tanker samples within one hour after being received.
  • Keep lab tickets, batch tickets, and all documentation up to date.
  • Review filters and filter check records.
  • Ensure raw material acceptability.
  • Perform record review and label corrected batches to ensure TTB regulations are met.
  • Maintain TTB records by recording solids tests and line fill height tests.
  • Test pH and CODs of wastewater.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in food safety, quality control, and quality inspection.
  • Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and document control.
  • Ability to perform line checks and maintain laboratory standards.
  • Capacity to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Sciences.
  • Personality verified by references.

Work Environment

You will work a shift schedule of 4-10 hour days, Monday through Thursday from 5 am to 3 pm. This schedule allows for three-day weekends, promoting a healthy work-life balance. The work culture is supportive and friendly, with a focus on collaboration and assistance. Dress code is casual.

This is a Contract position based out of PRINCETON, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
