Job Description Smith Personnel Solutions is hiring Modular Building Assemblers to construct portable and modular buildings in a production facility. This is hands-on construction work involving framing, flooring, siding, insulation, roofing, and finish assembly. Employees report to the same Burleson facility each day, with no travel between job sites.
Qualified candidates should be dependable, comfortable using tools, and prepared for physically demanding work in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities · Assemble floors, walls, framing, siding, and roofing components · Install insulation and interior finishing materials · Measure, cut, position, and fasten building materials · Assist with wheel and axle installation · Operate drills, saws, staple guns, and other hand and power tools · Prepare and move materials throughout the production area · Inspect completed work for quality · Follow safety procedures and production instructions · Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
· Experience with hand and power tools · Ability to read a tape measure accurately · Construction, carpentry, framing, roofing, siding, manufacturing, or assembly experience preferred · Ability to stand, bend, lift, carry, and perform physical work throughout the shift · Comfortable working with insulation and construction materials · Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled facility · Dependable attendance and reliable transportation · Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required
Schedule · Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM · Friday: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM · Saturday: Typically 7:00 AM–12:00 PM · Additional hours may be required based on production needs
Applicants must be available for the full schedule, including overtime and Saturdays when required. Compensation
Starting pay is $17.00–$18.50 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills. Candidates with construction, carpentry, framing, roofing, siding, mechanical assembly, or manufacturing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
