Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM (potential for overtime)

Responsible for preparing dorm rooms and common areas for occupancy by completing general maintenance, repairs, and turnover work. This role focuses on ensuring rooms are clean, functional, and ready for incoming residents while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Job Description:

Perform room turnover and make-ready work for dorm rooms and residential spaces.
Complete minor repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Assist with maintaining clean, safe, and functional living environments.
Cooperate with team members and supervisors to complete work efficiently.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site Lead or Facility Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

Complete dorm room turnover work including patching holes, painting touch-ups, replacing light bulbs, changing filters, and minor repairs.
Perform basic plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains, replacing faucets, and fixing minor leaks.
Perform light carpentry tasks including door adjustments, replacing hardware, furniture repairs, and basic installation work.
Complete minor electrical work such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
Repair or replace locks, door hardware, and other room fixtures as needed.
Move furniture and assist with room setup as required.
Maintain clean work areas and properly store tools and materials.
Complete work orders and document completed work as required.
Follow company safety procedures and report hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications / Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
6 months-2 years of maintenance, apartment turns, make-ready, janitorial, facilities, handyman, or related experience preferred.
Experience with painting, drywall patching, basic plumbing, light electrical work, and general repairs.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical work throughout the day.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver's license preferred.
