Overview
Polk Mechanical is seeking a Service Dispatcher to dispatch Service Technicians to install, service, and repair HVAC/R and plumbing systems, coordinating closely with service management to keep technicians scheduled and customers informed.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers and sales representatives to determine service and scheduling needs
- Generate service calls within the computer program, recording the type and scope of work to be performed
- Coordinate technicians according to customer requests, determine schedules, and assign technician workloads
- Schedule and notify technicians of daily assignments; monitor workload and capacity throughout the day
- Interact with suppliers to verify availability of parts to ensure quality and timely service calls
- Create and maintain new customer accounts with up-to-date and accurate information
- Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of education and/or experience in a related area
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Highly safety conscious
- Excellent organizational skills; self-motivated and able to follow through with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude
