This school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position offers a dynamic schedule in a supportive environment, working across different elementary sites throughout the week. Your week will be thoughtfully split, dedicating two days each to Lake Panasoffkee and Wildwood elementary schools, with a fifth day serving as a floater to provide support where it’s most needed. This position fills a full-time, 37.5-hour schedule and runs from as soon as possible through the end of the school year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid SLPA licensure or certification in accordance with state requirements
  • Previous school experience or demonstrated interest in working with children
  • Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication development
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Proficiency in documentation and progress reporting
  • Flexibility to adapt across multiple school environments in a given week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services under the supervision of an SLP
  • Implement therapy activities tailored to individual student needs
  • Accurately document student progress and session outcomes
  • Assist in screening and assessment processes as assigned
  • Communicate effectively with educators, caregivers, and support personnel
  • Travel between assigned schools and adapt to evolving caseload needs
