* This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison.
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000/year
The Nessus Administrator supports daily operations of the Tenable Nessus vulnerability management platform, ensuring effective scanning and reporting across client systems.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Configure, operate, and maintain Nessus scanners and related infrastructure.
- Schedule and execute regular security scans of client systems.
- Ensure scan results are processed, validated, and distributed to ISSOs.
- Manage user access, permissions, and role-based controls within Nessus.
- Troubleshoot scanning issues and coordinate with ISSOs and system administrators to resolve findings.
- Support SME and ISSO teams with generation of reports and compliance artifacts.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of cybersecurity or system administration experience with 2+ years supporting Nessus.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability scanning workflows and remediation processes.
- Familiarity with Tenable tools and integration methods.
- Ability to document and report scan results clearly.
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance required.
The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
