Job Summary
We are seeking an Optometric Technician to join our family team! As an technician, you will be responsible for working up patients, explaining, performing and recording preliminary tests as well as specialty testing.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working well with a team, has strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and is extremely organized and a quick learner.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and gather and record medical and prescription history and relevant information for their visit
- Perform special testing (Visual field, OCT, photos, and more)
- Assist in in-office procedures, as needed
- Educate patients on treatments and general eye health
- Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of office and pretest room
- Understand ocular terminology and diseases and know the ocular abbreviations
- Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing on patients prior to doctor examination
- Ensure high-quality patient care
