Key Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Provide direct patient care on a 21-bed Med-Surg and Cardiac Observation unit serving a diverse patient population including pre/post cath, chest pain rule-outs on heparin drips, COPD, CHF, pacers, and arrhythmias
- Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips in real time using unit-based monitoring equipment, in coordination with telemetry monitor techs
- Administer and manage set-rate drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Bumex, and Lasix
- Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapy to deliver safe, high-quality patient care at average nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6
- Manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment with the potential for up to 6 discharges and 6+ admissions per day
- Float to other units within the facility as needed, receiving only patients within your demonstrated skillset

Required Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both required)
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
- Experience administering set-rate Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
- Ability to work every-other weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday for night shift)
- All time-off requests must be disclosed upfront and included in the contract prior to assignment start

Preferred Experience / Skills\n
- \n
- Experience with TR Bands (transradial hemostasis bands) is highly preferred
- Prior experience in a high-acuity Med-Surg or Cardiac Observation setting
- Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP supportive therapy
