Job Title: Summer Gymnastics Instructor

Job Type/Level: Part Time/Seasonal (1-29 hours)

Types of Shifts:

• Full Day Shift - 7:30 AM - 4:15 PM
• Half Day Shift - 7:30 AM - 12:15 PM / 11:45 AM - 4:15 PM
• Extended Day - 3:45 PM - 6:15 PM

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing?

• Experience games and activities with the children.
• Learn each child’s needs to keep a positive experience for student.
• Follow daily schedules to create smooth transitions around the facility.
• Set and clean up the gym and party rooms.
• Checking in/out students.
• Assisting children in the lavatories or Little Flippers changing area.
• Be prepared and comfortable in teaching shortened gymnastics lessons at least once a shift from the Preschool or Recreational class lesson plan.
• Give clear instructions to a large group of students at one time.
• Continuously keep an eye on every student in the group.
• Keep control of a large group in a face paced setting.
• Strive for each child to have a “successful moment” each day.

• Ability to work individually and in a team setting

• Able to comply with a detailed daily schedule
• Ability to make difficult or quick decisions

• Unquestionably dependable
• Comfortable Public Speaking In Large Groups
• Basic knowledge in Planet Gymnastics curriculum (Preschool and Recreational)
• Comfortable assisting children in bathrooms and LF changing area
• Position oneself to monitor safety at all times
• Know the progressions for each child's gymnastics level during gymnastics lessons.
