Overview

DirectViz Solutions, LLC (DVS) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team at Fort Huachuca, AZ. This role supports the SYSMAN environment, including MECM and SCOM systems, ensuring smooth and secure operations across the enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to take on a variety of technical challenges in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with troubleshooting application errors, operating systems, server hardware, network communications, and storage allocation issues within the SYSMAN environment (MECM/SCOM).
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify, trace, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Leverage ServiceNow ITSM to document, track, and resolve incidents impacting system operations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and document revised procedures and methods for system operations and maintenance within the SYSMAN infrastructure.
  • Provide after-hours "on-call" support, including weekends, as required to ensure mission continuity.


Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High School diploma + 2 years of IT experience or
    • Associate's degree (AA/AS) in IT-related field with 0 years of experience.
  • Certifications:
    • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP) required at time of hire.
    • Microsoft certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong teamwork, flexibility, and initiative with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with a commitment to quality customer service.
  • Ability to manage personal workload and communicate project status effectively.
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends when mission requires.

Desired Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience administering MECM or SCOM systems.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).

Physical and Mental Qualifications:

  • Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
  • Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
  • Learns and memories routine tasks.
  • Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
