One to two years as Project Assistant in the door and hardware industry or related

Responsibilities
- The Assistant Project Manager provides administrative and organizational support to the Project Team
- They are responsible for assisting in the planning and coordinating of all facets of the assigned project
- Assists with creation of short and long-term goals and strategies
- Manages all project communications, generating appropriate correspondence to facilitate a well-documented project while ensuring timely responses
- Maintains project file with key milestones and status
- Identify door swings, frame elevations, jamb profiles, wall types, and hardware information from architectural drawings
- Read, analyze, and understand hardware, wood door, and hollow metal specifications to effectively create, update, or coordinate related submittals including literature for architect review
- Works closely with Project Manager to maintain project schedules, implement changes/revisions, review and revise returned submittals as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
