Marketing & Development Coordinator

Full-Time 40 hours per week

$40,000-50,000/year

Job Summary

The Mission Project Coordinator supports the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental operations. This position is responsible for supporting the development and advancement of mission department programs, projects, and initiatives.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at creating structure and improving processes. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Data Tracking & Reporting:

  • Maintainaccurateand up-to-date program data across internal systems and databases.
  • Assistwith compliance documentation, data integrity processes, and reporting deadlines.
  • Partner with mission leadership team to maintain and update program outcomes, success stories, and metrics on multiple platforms and through multiple channels.

Marketing/Outreach:

  • Serve as the liaison with theMarketing andDevelopment department, communicating program updates, success stories, graduation dates, and other newsworthyevents.
  • Support the marketing department todevelop mission department outreach materials,as needed.
  • Ensure donors and grant funders arerecognized appropriately on allpromotional materials.

Operational Efficiencies:

  • Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies usingTeams, Monday.com, SharePoint, and others.
  • Implement process improvement strategies to support the missiondepartmentprogramming growth and expansion.
  • Provide general administrativeassistanceincluding scheduling, filing,anddocument preparation.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical office files and directories.
  • Assistwith onboarding tasks fornew staff, including system access and document setup.
  • Serve as a point of contact for office supplies, equipment requests, and basic troubleshooting.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate workforce development andre-entry focusedprojects, programs, andotherinitiatives inpartnership with Mission Leadership team.

Project & Workflow Coordination

  • Assistin implementing new systems and organizing tools to enhance organizational structure.
  • Track deadlines, projects, and follow-through tasks tomaintainoperational alignment.
  • Coordinate Mission Department’s workforce development and Second Chance projects, programs, and initiatives in partnership with Mission Leadership Team. Current and upcoming projects, programs, and initiatives include CareerNavigationCenter launch, Financial Opportunity Center, mission integration withBusinessServices, rural mobile mission unit, YouthBuild, participant/client graduations, staff trainings, committee meetings, and others. 
  • Under guidance from the Chief Mission Officer, implement process improvement strategies to support theMission Department’s geographic growth and efficient use of resources.
  • Serve as a liaison with the Marketing and Developmentdepartment communicating program updates, success stories, graduation dates, and other newsworthy opportunities. 

Experience and Education : 

  • Strong organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously  
  • Professional communication skills both written and oral 
  • Knowledge of/or ability to learn about the impact of poverty and the justice system on our low-income families 
  • Experience with scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings 
  • Strong computer literacy and technical skills
