Job DescriptionAs a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform entry-mid level diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, manufacturer specifications, and management requirements on mechanical or electrical foundry equipment. Perform entry-level functions in the maintenance and repair of the facilit,y including but not limited to building, grounds, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, etc. Works primarily under the supervision of a senior technician or management. Responsibilities:
- Performs self-directed reactive and planned maintenance which includes but is not limited to: observe devises in operation to locating root cause of problem; dismantling machinery to gain access to and to remove and replace defective parts; examines defective parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional machinery and system control components; testing of components to observe performance; testing of electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditions and repairs various machinery. Performs simple fabrication tasks, including welding. Orders supplies and repair parts as required.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots machine failures. Acts as a proactive maintenance liaison to the plant engineer. Lays out wire, builds, and troubleshoots electrical panels and/or machinery to NFPA/NEC standards.
- Maintains the grounds and building exterior by performing any one or up to two of the following technical disciplines: routine electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
- Provides assistance to machine operators and production personnel as required for optimal production asset performance and reliability.
- May be required to set up and operate multiple machining operations, including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinders, welding power supplies, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts and/or equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to work SAFELY by following policies and procedures in an industrial environment
- Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment in an industrial setting
- Ability to perform preventative and corrective maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic, and piping diagrams
- Ability to perform metal fabrication as needed, MIG, TIG, arc gouging/cutting
- Ability to research parts, drawings, diagrams, and schematics
- PLC troubleshooting experience and programming knowledge
- Effective communication skills are required
- Facilities maintenance, HVAC, welding, cutting, and fitting experience
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Experience using calipers, indicators, micrometers, and multimeters
- Ability to use shop equipment: such as sanders, drill press, mills, lathe, various welding equipment, surface grinder, crane, forklift
- Industrial compressors and compressed air distribution systems
- Computer literate in MS Office Products: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Possess a valid driver’s license

Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note that hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
