Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Data Analyst to serve as a key contact for financial reporting and data-driven insights. This role is responsible for supporting period-end close processes, analyzing large sets of financial data, and delivering actionable insights that enhance business decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of finance knowledge, technical skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Analysis:
- Perform recurring and ad-hoc financial data queries, reports, and performance analyses.
- Support period-end and weekly reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and trend reporting to support business decisions.
- Period Close Management:
- Oversee and coordinate period-end close activities across key financial metrics.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data during close cycles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with IT and Financial Control teams to maintain data integrity and report accuracy.
- Liaise with multiple business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights.
- Special Projects:
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for strategic and operational projects as needed.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS), Accounting, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in financial data analysis, including experience in:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Business performance evaluation
- Financial Accounting and Control
- Financial reporting and data analytics
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience with financial systems, databases, or reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms and Excel-based modeling.
- Exposure to automation and process improvement initiatives.
Certifications (if any)
- No specific certifications required.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or data analytics certifications are a plus.
