Job Details:
\n
• Float between Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units as needed
\n • ICU experience required with ability to float down to Medical Surgical when needed
\n • Extensive cardiac experience required
\n • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
\n • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
\n • Document according to standards of care
\n • Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
\n • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
\n • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
\n • Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating to the appropriate chain of command when necessary
\n • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
\n • Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
\n • Current Illinois (IL) nursing license required
\n
