This Industrial Service Electrician will work with our existing electrical service and automation teams on industrial control, electrical, and mechanical systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve industrial service calls
- Communication professionally with customers
- Work closely with project management
- Work safely in dynamic environments

Desired Qualifications
\n
Experience:
\n
- \n
- 4+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Seasoned troubleshooter who has experience operating independently to troubleshoot electrical and control systems
\n
\n
\n
Skills and Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, 12V, 24V, 120/208V, 277/480V
- Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and motor controls
- Experience with VFD start-ups and troubleshooting
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to use a range of diagnostic tools such as multimeters, meggers, data loggers
- Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments
- Basic computer skills
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
- Exercise independence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of data systems preferred
- Knowledge of instrumentation and process control

Office Location and Travel
\n
Funk Electric serves industrial customers across South Central Kansas and the Flint Hills. We have locations in Goessel, Emporia, and El Dorado. The Industrial Service Electrician position is intended to be part of our rapid response support for those customers and will work across a range of customer sites.

Working Environment & Conditions
\n

- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Service Electricians are frequently required to operate equipment, machinery, and power tools. Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
