We are looking for a Development Coordinator to join our Development team. The Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting fundraising operations, donor engagement, and stewardship efforts across a national fundraising program. This position provides administrative, logistical, and project management support to the development team and ensures that donor communications, events, and campaigns run smoothly.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. The position is hybrid that includes flexible, remote work options.

About You:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
· 3-5 years of experience in development, nonprofit administration, or related field.
· Proficiency with CRM or donor database systems (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, etc.) or willingness to learn
· Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
· Self-starter who is independent, driven, and thrives in fast-paced environments, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
· Exceptional writing and editing skills; articulate and able to tailor communications for diverse audiences via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings
· Professional, trustworthy, and collaborative with a thoughtful approach to tasks
· Demonstrates adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
· Willingness to attend evening and weekend events as needed
· Experience coordinating fundraising campaigns or donor events.
· Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles and best practices.
· Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor) and project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, etc.).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Development Operations & Administration (35%)
- Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM (Raiser’s Edge).
- Process donations and produce acknowledgment letters and receipts.
- Generate donor reports, dashboards, and mailing lists as needed.
- Support database integrity efforts, including data cleanup and record maintenance.
- Oversee Charity watchdog organizations managing required reporting, renewals, and updates.
- Manage required state registrations and annual reporting filings.
Donor Communications & Stewardship (25%)
- Assist with drafting and sending stewardship communications, newsletters, and impact updates.
- Support the production of fundraising materials such as annual appeal letters, campaign collateral, and donor packets.
- Coordinate stewardship touchpoints including thank-you calls, handwritten notes, and milestone recognition.
Fundraising Campaign Support (20%)
- Provide logistical and administrative support for national fundraising campaigns, including year-end giving, monthly donor drives, and peer-to-peer initiatives.
- Track campaign performance, prepare progress updates, and help coordinate internal cross-team collaboration.
Events & Engagement (15%)
- Assist in planning and executing donor events, cultivation gatherings, and fundraising events.
- Manage invitations, RSVPs, event materials, and follow-up communication.
- Coordinate event logistics with vendors, venues, and internal staff.
- Ability to attend evening and weekend events as needed.
Team Support & Cross-Department Collaboration (5%)
- Provide scheduling, documentation, and administrative support for development meetings.
- Collaborate with communications, programs, and finance teams to ensure alignment across activities.

Physical Requirements:
· The position is considered sedentary and normally performed in a typical interior office environment.
· Must be able to remain standing or seated for extended periods of time.
