Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of experience, Epic proficiency, and a SC or compact RN license.

Details\n

    \n
  • Hospital-based Cardiac Telemetry unit
  • \n

  • Adult patient population including observation status and inpatient overflow cases
  • \n

  • Patient diagnoses include chest pain/acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrhythmias, diabetes, syncope, permanent pacemaker insertion, CVA/TIA/stroke workup, pneumonia, heart failure, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleed
  • \n

  • Procedures include cardiac/telemetry monitoring, permanent pacemaker pacing, TEE, negative pressure isolation (AFB), thoracentesis/paracentesis, and Level 3 continuous IV infusions and IV push medications
  • \n

  • Medication systems: Pyxis and Omnicell
  • \n

  • EMR: Epic (required)
  • \n

  • 4x12-hour night shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • \n

  • Every other weekend required, subject to change based on need
  • \n

  • Floating to like units within the same hospital or nearby campuses is required based on census needs
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active SC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • \n

  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • \n

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry RN experience
  • \n

  • Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
  • \n

  • Valid driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • Responsibilities include cardiac/telemetry monitoring, pulse oximetry monitoring, patient assessment, coordination of testing and procedures, acute nursing care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and specialty services (cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, neurology)
  • \n

  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • \n

  • First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
  • \n

  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this night shift Cardiac Telemetry position; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
  • \n

  • Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from all Prisma Health facilities to be eligible at the full travel pay rate
  • \n
