Job Description: Going through a digital transformation for their Ignition platform

Day-to-day responsibilities:
•Develop, deploy, and maintain applications and solutions using Ignition Platform software.
•Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code for system integrations, automation, and data processing.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize industrial and business systems.
•Create and maintain Ignition projects, including visualization, scripting, and database connectivity.
•Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ignition applications, Python scripts, and supporting infrastructure.
•Work with SQL databases to query, analyze, and manipulate data for various applications.
•Provide technical support and mentorship to junior developers or team members as needed.
•Document development processes, workflows, and system configurations.
•Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to It, OT, Industrial IoT, and industrial automation.
Skillsets:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required.
•2-4 years of professional experience in software development, IT, or industrial automation required.
•Hands-on experience with Ignition Platform Or equivalent platforms (design, configuration, scripting, and troubleshooting).
•Proficiency in Python programming for automation and system integration.
•Strong understanding of SQL databases (querying, optimization, and integration).
•Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
•Knowledge of scripting languages and frameworks Python, SQL, JavaScript, Kubernetes
•Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
•Understanding of Agile methodologies or experience working in Agile teams
Nice To Have:
•Knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., OPC, MQTT) and their application in SCADA systems.
•Experience with Ignition Perspective or Vision modules.
•Familiarity with industrial automation equipment such as PLCs, HMIs, or IoT devices.Ansible, Agile Scrum, Automation, Configuration Management, GIT, Python, Kubernetes, SQL, JavaScript Framework, Manufacturing Company
