The Guest Services Representative will need to be proficient in providing quality customer service and possess the ability to multi-task. Basic computer operating skills are necessary. The Guest Services Representative must be able to perform cash handling procedures.
Requirements:
Essential Functions
- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
- Assist guests with registration, check-in, and checkout
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Handles requests and questions from current and futures guests received by phone or at front-desk.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and/or where to access to following information:
- Hotel features/services
- Room types, numbers, layout, and décor
- Current and future room rates, special packages and promotions
- Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures
- Room availability status
- Scheduled conferences and meetings
- Read logbook daily; record all pertinent information in logbook
- Assign rooms and keys
- Collect and distribute messages for guests
- Prepare bills and collect payment for visit
- Assist in solving billing discrepancies
- Answer inquiries regarding hotel area and services
- Provide suggestions to hotel patrons of places to visit, eat, and shop
- Maintain hotel records
- Attend meetings and training sessions as necessary
- All other duties as assigned
