Hussey Copper, A Pantheon Electric Company, is seeking a Casting Shift Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the metal manufacturing facility. This includes managing personnel, ensuring safety protocols are followed, monitoring production and quality control, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The Shift Supervisor will also be responsible for training and developing team members, as well as ensuring that all production goals are met in a timely manner. This position covers the day and overnight shift.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in metal manufacturing operations including filling of vacancies for call-offs or scheduled vacations.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during production, including equipment failures.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, enforced and challenged for better performance.
- Train and develop team to ensure that the necessary skills are developed to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain records of production output and other relevant data to the process.
- Prepare shift reports with detailed information on production performance for management review.
- Ensure all production goals are met in a timely manner.
- Escalate and follow up on maintenance issues related to equipment and the structures.
- Proactively escalate all issues that fall outside of your daily shift requirements or that cannot be resolved by you while on shift.
- Apply coaching and disciplinary action to team members when required.
- Perform data entry on the computer for timecard adherence and shift schedules when required.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but will consider experience in lieu of education
- 5-7 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment preferably with melting background
- Experienced with Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen, Tier Board processes, etc.
