Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Oil Field Technician is responsible for supporting daily oil and gas field operations by performing equipment installation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting. This role works directly in the field to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations while supporting production, drilling, or service activities.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field operations including setup, operation, inspection, and maintenance of oilfield equipment
  • Assist with well servicing, production operations, and equipment repairs
  • Monitor gauges, pressures, fluid levels, and production data; report abnormalities
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting
  • Assist with loading/unloading materials, tools, pipe, and equipment
  • Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines
  • Complete required field tickets, reports, and documentation accurately and timely
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and crew members
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas at all job sites
  • Support emergency response procedures when required

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous oilfield or industrial field experience preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in drilling, completions, production, or well servicing
  • Familiarity with pumps, valves, compressors, or heavy equipment
  • Basic understanding of oilfield safety standards (OSHA, H2S, etc.)
  • CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and outdoor environments
  • Use of PPE including hard hat, FR clothing, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses
