Skilled Nursing Faciltiy Biller
\n
\n
The Fiscal Department is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Biller. Under the direction of the A/R Supervisor, they will be responsible for accurate and timely submission of assigned billings such as Medicaid, Medicare , Commercial/HMO & Private Pay billing and follow up.
\n
\n
Responsibilities:
\n
\n
• Experience in all aspects of billing and collecting unpaid Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial/HMO & Private Pay accounts
\n
\n
• Knowledge of electronic billing processes.
\n
\n
• Interact with residents and families.
\n
\n
• Participates in special projects as directed by the A/R Supervisor.
\n
\n
• Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested.
\n
\n
• Pre-Admission insurance verifications
\n
\n
Qualifications
\n
\n
• 1-2 Years Experience working for a billing department at a Hospital, Nursing Home, ALP or Adult Medical Model Day Care is preferred.
\n
\n
• Associates Degree or Equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education
\n
\n
• The position requires knowledge of government payer sources, eligibility and researching denied claims as well as positive communication skills (both verbal and written).
\n
\n
• Qualified applicant must have the ability to complete tasks with little to no supervision.
\n
\n
• Ability to work in a team environment is a self-starter, quick learner, excellent communication and research skills, attention to detail and ability to handle a fast-paced and challenging work environment is a necessity.
\n
\n
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel computer application skills required
\n
\n
• Matrixcare Billing software experience preferred
\n
\n
• High level of determination and motivation; the ability to go above and beyond; and positive communication skills are a must.
\n
\n
