Job Description
This role is central to our R&D efforts in developing cutting-edge medical laser devices. You will engage in full-lifecycle product development—from initial conceptualization and prototyping to production—enhancing product performance while adhering to stringent clinical and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Mathematica Model Development
- Design, build, and optimize advanced Mathematica models and simulations to improve device reliability and performance.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Lead the progression of software and integrated systems from concept through to validation and production deployment.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with mechanical, optical, and electrical engineering teams to integrate Mathematica-based tools into holistic system designs.
Medical Device Focus
- Tackle complex engineering challenges specific to the medical laser industry, driving innovation in performance and safety.
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all development work aligns with FDA and ISO standards, producing comprehensive documentation for testing and validation.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD preferred (Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related).
- 5+ years of experience with Mathematica, particularly in end-to-end product/system development.
- Familiarity with machine tools (lathes, mills, CNC) and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Prior experience in the medical device sector, ideally in laser technologies.
- Proven ability in Mathematica programming, simulation, and algorithm design.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across technical teams.
- Solid understanding of FDA and ISO regulatory environments.
